After a battle with Covid 19 in 2021, with long-term effects on my breathing, my digestive system and energy levels, a change in lifestyle became necessary. After many years of being the cook of the house and loving it, I decided I needed to outsource my daily main meal.

I took my search online to find a reliable provider. After two unsuccessful experiences, I came across Lite n' Easy. It was a revelation to find a company with an offering dedicated to my demographic, older generations who no longer need super-sized meals, but rather meals planned by dietitians, health experts and importantly for me, chefs.

One of the first plus signs for me was the broad choice of My Choice dishes on offer and I spent the first few weeks appraising various tastes and textures until gradually a list of my most favoured meals evolved. I began ordering on a fortnightly basis and arranged for delivery on the free day to save a charge. The meals arrive on time and packaged nicely.

Now to the meals themselves. The size of the meals I find just about spot on. The sauces and gravies complement the dishes and don't go overboard. There hasn't been a meal that I haven't enjoyed and felt satisfied.

A large additional plus was that Lite n' Easy made me aware of government subsidies for those with a Home Care Package, so I researched my status. Following interviews and assessments with My Aged Care, I have received the tick of approval as a Level 2 participant. Now I am able to continue my meals program with an allocated subsidy, saving me considerable amounts of money each week.
